The Della Morte Sisters have been made into a short animated film as a good way to introduce these great characters and their amazing world. The short is called 'Della Mortika: Carousel of Shame' and follows the sisters after they arrive in Australia and are sent to the Skipping Girl Home for Wayward and Homeless Girls (it is set between books 2 and 3). The Della Morte Sister have their sisterly bond put to the test when jealousy rears its ugly head. The film has been produced in a stop-motion style using paper puppets and pop-ups to bring the girls from the pages of the books into lively animation. The film is currently on the Festival Circuit.
